My first reflection on Web 2.0

Before this course, the Web 2.0 tool that I always use is Facebook. I usually post articles, videos, websites, pictures for updating my life and ideas to my friends and my students. I give feedback to my friends, too. Occasionally, I create and join some groups and activities to extend my friendship network quickly. The tool is convenient for searching my old friends which haven't seen for many years.

However, since Web 2.0 is lack of supervision, it gives people too much freedom of speech, which many people abuse this right to practice Internet violence. Some people utilize Web 2.0 discussion board as a weapon to express their anger without respecting others. Moreover, some people post some erotic and wrong values materials on the web, which polluted teenagers' thought. For instance, the group of committing suicide was set up on Facebook. The group obtained supporters. Teenagers may not have enough maturity to distinguish which is good for them. Thus, out of supervision, self- discipline is the crucial factor of using Web 2.0 healthily.
